About Me

I am a graphic designer and illustrator from Akron Ohio. I graduated with a BFA degree from the Myers School of Art at The University of Akron. I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and I have over 20 years of experience as a caricature artist, drawing caricatures at live events and at theme parks such as SeaWorld and Six Flags. I also taught cartooning classes for the North Royalton High School Enrichment Program.

I have always been interested in illustration and design from an early age. I remember reading the Sunday comics in the newspaper and then drawing up my own little narratives. As I got older, I would find myself constantly sketching and doodling. By the time I graduated high school and was in college, I knew I wanted to be in a career where I could be creative, illustrate, and design.

I spend my free time working on art and playing with my children. I enjoy watching cartoons, especially ones from the 80’s, and I am also a collector of comic books. Some of my favorite artists are Chris Van Dusen, C.F. Payne, Tony DiTerlizzi, and Al Hirschfeld. I am always looking for unique ways to be creative with my illustrations and designs.
